One example is the specific application for remote control of freezers. It consists of a small device that is programmed and installed in each cooling unit and continuously checks that the temperature is maintained within preset limits. In case of violation of these limits, the administrator receives an SMS message, an email, or an alarm.

The system can be combined with an additional door sensor which sends an alarm even before a change in temperature is traced or if the door is opened on unscheduled day or hour. An alarm is also sent in the event of a power failure while the system continues to operate on battery power.
